The Unveiling

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, March 30, 2014,

Moses had to put a covering over his face because he been with God and his skin shone.  He lit up from being around the presence of God.  We need people to get in the presence of God so they can shine for JESUS.

We are the lights of the world; a city set on a hill that cannot be hid. LET’S shine for JESUS.

Romans 8 states, “The earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.

The world is waiting on the church to come forth in its power.  They need ...

The Place

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, January 12, 2014,

God placed the sun, moon, and stars.  He placed them in their place. The reason they were placed there is to serve a purpose. We have been placed in this church to serve God, to learn about Him, and to learn about ourselves for the word will reveal who we really are.

Through the preaching we can see our gifts and callings of God.  We must exercise the gifts in our lives. We use it or lose it.  I want more from God, not less; but if I want more from God I have learned He wants more from ...

The Trap

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, June 9, 2013,

WE CAN ALL FALL INTO TRAPS.  The devil is always setting them trying to lure us into one with the right bait.  You can put cheese or peanut butter on a mouse trap and all the mice see is the food, not the trap it is setting on.

Many times people are the same way with the devil.  They can’t see the outcome or how it will turn out.  All they see is the right now so they step into it and then they are trapped by the enemy.

But God’s got a people with vision that can see the devil...

Ask

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Saturday, September 1, 2012,

Matthew 7:7 ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN.

GOD GAVE ME THIS WORD LAST WEEKEND. I ENJOYED PREACHING IT TO YOU AND IT SEEMED YOU ENJOYED IT AS WELL.

ASK IS TO SEEK BY WORDS TO OBTAIN. REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE ASKING. IT IS GOD. THERE IS NOTHING GOD CAN’T DO SO WHEN YOU ASK GOD FOR SOMETHING, YOU BETTER BE PREPARED TO RECEIVE IT.

YOU ARE SITTING ON YOUR PAYERS PROBABLY RIGHT NOW. THOSE CHAIRS YOU ARE IN, THE NEW CHURCH,

WE ASKED AND WE RECEIVED. SOMETIMES IT MAY TAKE WORK TO RECEIVE, BUT WE...

Progress

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, July 1, 2012,
We are building a new building to have church in.. God has moved mightly in helping us do this project.. It has been hard and I have spent countless hours over there working as have others.  Power should be on soon, maybe next week, but how is your spiritual progress going?  What are you doing less of than you used to what what are you doing more of for God than you were last year?
Being a Jesus DISCIPLE ALWAYS MEANS SACRIFICING YOUR WAY AND WILL to do His always.  I don't care how many t...

Dust

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Wednesday, February 22, 2012,

Dust is not something people want to buy. They don’t make dust finders; dust finds you. It’s not worth anything yet God made us from the dust of the ground. Next time you get a high and mighty attitude, check your white shirt collar after you’ve wore it awhile. You will be reminded what you been made from.

The serpent was made to eat dust all his life after he helped man to fall, and he is still today feeding on dust people, dust-minded people, who feed on flesh or carnal things. The ca...

Seek & Ye Shall Find

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Thursday, September 1, 2011,
Jeremiah 29:13 says, “Seek me and ye shall find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Do you have a heart for seeking God? Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask and it shall be given, knock and it shall be opened, seek and ye shall find.” What you are seeking you are finding. Is it carnal things or spiritual things? The shepherds sought after JESUS. They had a word from the Lord where to find Him. The wise men sought JESUS. They had a sign from a star. Mary Magdelene sought JESUS. She was c...

SIN

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Thursday, August 4, 2011,
The Bible says sin is a reproach to any people. What is sin? Missing the mark that God has set. OUCH! When we disobey God, we sin. When we are unfaithful to Him, we sin. When we follow our own will instead of His will, we sin. The Bible declares that the soul that sinneth shall surely die. SIN WILL COST YOU MORE THAN YOU'RE WILLING TO PAY AND KEEP YOU LONGER THAN YOU'RE WILLING TO STAY. NOBODY IN OUR SOCIETY SINS THO. Nothing is sin anymore according to some. "Holy women can wear pants and t...

Commitment

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Saturday, July 23, 2011,
In these times many people have no commitment. No matter what they say or promise, they can change their mind at a whim. People promise to love, honor and obey spouses, but that means nothing after a few month to some folks. They lose their focus and what they once knew they loved and do others things being distracted from that thing they know in their heart they really need. That’s what the devil does. All he is good for is bringing defeat in your life. He will talk you into staying sic...

“A Place of Faith”

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, April 17, 2011,
In 2nd Kings chapter 4 a woman and her husband build a room on their house for a man of God. Because of their help for him, he blessed them with a child which she desired of the Lord. There’s something about blessing others that moves God, so God granted them their child. After a while the child went to his Dad about his head hurting. He sent him back to his mom and he died in her lap. She went to the man of God. When he asked her how all was, she said all is well while her child was lying ...

Stay in the Ship

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Saturday, March 19, 2011,
The ship I am speaking of is the church. The church is not going to die, it’s not going to fall away, but it’s going to grow and thrive. It can’t die because God is in control. He is the author and finisher. Paul told everybody on board the ship, “we must abide in the ship.” I am telling people today, “we must abide in the ship.” The church is the only boat afloat.. It’s the only thing that holds us together to support one another, get prayer for each other, allows us to...

Save Yourself

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Friday, December 10, 2010,
Acts 2:40 says, “Save yourself from this untoward generation.” This is a continual process of saving ourself. You may ask, “How can I save myself?” Well, to save yourself, you must realize that God sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross for you that you can be saved. He shed his blood for your sins. When you repent, you have a change of mind that you want to live different, you want a more happy life, and the only way to be happy is to give yourself to the Lord. They sing t...

What are you certain of?

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Friday, October 8, 2010,
I am certain I want to live for God! What are you certain about? Are you undecided or can you just simply not make up your mind? The Bible declares, “a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” Im sure that means women too. To be certain of anything, you must have a stable mind. Paul wrote to Timothy and told him to have a sound mind. Not a fearful mind. Maybe you are creation things wont work out for you. If that’s what you’re certain about, you better fix your outlook! Let m...

Pressure

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, October 3, 2010,
Pressure is a force applied. It will squeeze or mash depending upon how it is applied. You apply pressure to vice grips to use them to free things or to tighten things. In the Bible, Gethsemane was a place JESUS went to pray when He was near His time of death. He told a few disciples to pray with Him and asked the Father, “if it be possible let this cup pass from me.” He felt the pressure. Gethsemane means a press, an olive press. They placed olives on a stone and then put another sto...

There is a devil!

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Saturday, August 21, 2010,
There is a devil and he is on your trail. He is wanting to discourage you anyway he can, give you a confused mind or make you worry over everything. When a beagle is on the trail of a rabbit, he smells the scent and goes after his prey. The rabbit has little self defense. All he can do is run and hide. His hair camouflages him. He is on top of most predators food chain. We are on top of the devils food chain. He searches for weakness, lack of faith, indecision, confusion, no joy, then ...

TIME

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Friday, July 16, 2010,
Time: we all have 24 hours a day,7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. That’s a fact, but what we do with what we have is the problem. So many times we waste time. I know I do. Some days are rest days for me to reboot, relax my mind, and try to just enjoy things without feeling pressured. We all need those days and I don’t consider those waste days. It’s far better to take one those here and there than it is to get all stressed and start biting everybody’s head off. But now for the days...

A Set Up

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Saturday, June 19, 2010,
God allows our life to flow in all different ways. Some are good and some days bad things happen. When you look at life and know God is in control and the thing coming at you, whether good or bad, was allowed by God; then you can have confidence that everything is gonna be alright. God don’t want to kill me. He wants to take me and make me what He wants me to be! He fashions me in His mold. Sometimes I need heat and fire to get me soft so I can see His will. Other times a mountain top expe...

HOT

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Tuesday, May 25, 2010,
In the world we live in, we are in a time of changing seasons from fall to winter to spring and summer, which is setting in. In the spirit we are changing seasons as well: from warm to warmer to hot. Do we got any hot christians in here? I am talking about red hot for Jesus. I mean you eat, drink, and sleep thinking about Jesus. Guess what? We got land!!! 4 acres of land and we can start to think about building now. I say start cause we need alot of money. All of our patience and hard work ...

Happy Mother's Day

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Saturday, May 8, 2010,
Mother’s Day is a great day that should be celebrated with great pride and joy.
I HAVE A GREAT MOM! She’s wonderful! She has helped me alot in life. As a child she comforted me when I had a boo boo; she also whipped me alot. I am sure I needed a few of them, lol. As a teenager she tolerated me; I picked at her with picking names that were not nice sometimes. Didn’t think about it much then as I was just picking but now I see that wasn’t fun on her end, YET SHE LOVED ME ANYHOW....

God's Word

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Tuesday, May 4, 2010,
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path!  God’s word, the Bible, is our road map to a godly life.  God’s word is what gives us hope and strength in all situations.  So when I am reminding God what His word says and how I want Him to move for me, I say “your word says...and god has exalted His word above His name.”  His name is JESUS!  His name is a strong tower.  It is a name above every name.  Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess He is Lord!  JESUS name...

REVIVAL

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, April 18, 2010,
REVIVAL - It’s bringing back to life, restoring, life changing. We need revival everyday of our life. We start today with revival, but it never has to stop because a preacher leaves. GOD is the one that brings it. We are the ones that have to hold onto it. We can fall back into the same old rut or we can say this is where I want my spirit to stay. Are you revived? Do you think you need revived ? If so are you going to keep revived? I don’t want to be stirred and not changed. I pra...

UNITY

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, April 11, 2010,
UNITY is the biggest tool on our side through the common goal of loving JESUS, being a born-again believer with people of like faith. We should really be behind one another. Together we can make a difference in others lives and in our own life. A single cord is easily broken but the Bible says a 3-fold cord in not quickly broken. Why is it stronger? Because it intertwines! Each one is wrapped around the other. You are no match for the devil by yourself but with others on your side, the devil...

Praise The Lord!

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Sunday, March 28, 2010,
Praise the Lord; God is so good!! We are closer all the time to buying land hopefully this week. My question today is-are ye able? Jesus asked this very question to some folks. Are ye able to drink of the cup I drink of and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with. Jesus asked one time, “Father if it be possible let this cup pass from me.” He knew He was fixing to drink a death sentence, a passing of his will, total submission to the father. Can you drink of that cup? Can you sub...

Holding On

Posted by Ricky Taylor on Tuesday, March 9, 2010,
The Crabb Family wrote a song titled “I’m still holding on.” I’d like to say so am I. I’m holding on to the mighty hand of God. I’m holding on to his love, mercy, and grace. I’m a happy Christian. I’m not undecided if I’m going to serve God or not. I’m holding on. I’m not undecided if I believe in miracles. I’m holding on. I’m not undecided if God will move in my situation. I’m holding on. What I’m really doing is holding on to faith till my move, miracle, chang...
